A product of local schools Thomas graduated from Western Washington University before entering the political arena first as an aide to Representative Jeff Morris and then later for Congressman Rick Larsen. That tells us he’s learned how to listen carefully and work hard. That tells us he’s experienced and knows how to cut through red tape and bureaucratic excuses to get things done.
And it’s his “real world experience” as a small business owner, a father of two teenage girls and as an active member of his community serving on the board of Youthnet and as former Executive Director of the Skagit Valley Wine Association that tells us all we need to know.
As our voice at the State Capitol in Olympia, Thomas will continue to do what he’s done throughout his career—listen carefully to all sides, respect all perspectives, find consensus and then get things done!
Whether it’s working hard to ensure that our public schools, at every level, are preparing our students for tomorrows challenges, insisting the state government live within its means during tough economic times, closing tax loopholes that no longer make sense or continuing to fight to ensure that our region receives the funding we need to improve our infrastructure and get our fair share of the gas tax dollars.
